Chiselhurst-on-Farmington Above, the building commonly known as Longman Studio (shown here in 1924) was originally called Chiselhurst-on-Farmington by its well-known first occupant, the sculptor Evelyn Longman Batchelder. This fall, it will be known as Longman House when it serves as a dorm for 10 sophomore boys. At right, “Winged Victory,” one of Evelyn's works of art and affectionately known as “Minerva,” graces the corridor in the newly restored Chaffee Hall.
