"Thank
you so much for helping me experience Loomis Chaffee. I believe in
life-changing decisions, and for me, coming here has been the most
significant one so far. I also believe in life-changing gifts, and
I’ve added this scholarship to the list of gifts I’ve received in my 16
years. Thank you again for today, for tomorrow, and for every day
afterwards."

The
Loomis Chaffee School is committed to enrolling the most outstanding
applicants and creating the best possible educational opportunities for
them,
regardless of their ability to pay. Loomis Chaffee was founded as an “opportunity school” and, through the financial aid program,
the school continues to provide access to one of
the nation’s leading boarding schools for students from a range of
backgrounds — racial, ethnic, geographic and socio-economic.

We strongly encourage any family who feels they need
financial assistance to apply for financial aid. This year Loomis
Chaffee allocated $6.5 million to one-third of our student body.
Financial aid is intended to make the cost of
attending Loomis Chaffee affordable. To that end, financial aid grants
range from $1,000 up to the full cost of tuition, with the average
grant covering 75 percent of tuition.
The school also hosts a financial aid lending library for
textbooks and other required reading, which helps to reduce the cost of
book purchases for all students on financial aid.
